During the exhibit, people who viewed the works on display had the opportunity to fill out a ballot and vote for their favourites. The results are now tallied and the People’s Choice awards are:
2nd place (tie):

Normally, SONSI does not offer prizes (other than bragging rights) to the winning artists. This year, however, at least some of the winning artworks will be published in the spring 2016 issue of the magazine Niagara Escarpment Views. The other good news is that three of the works on display were sold.
The October 17 reception was well-attended by the public and the GRDC kindly provided some excellent lunch fare. In addition to good food and conversation, artists had the opportunity to join an interpretive hike along the main loop trail in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area. It was a gorgeous fall day and the fallen leaves made the hike a treat for the senses. We’re grateful to our hosts at the GRDC for the lovely hike, for the unique and wonderful exhibit venue, as well as for all of the support received along the way.
Last but not least, we sincerely thank our hard working Exhibit Coordinator Karen Logan for making the recent exhibit happen and for continuing to serve SONSI so faithfully.
