Kathryn Chorney has an eye-opening scientific illustration that will be on display at the Morton Arboretum from February 15 to June 4, 2011, as part of the Morton Arboretum Scientific Illustration Exhibition.
The Morton Arboretum is just 25 miles outside of Chicago, and I imagine this will be a breathtaking show (directions here).
Here’s Boo.

Notes: Another in my ongoing portrait series of the resident birds of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. I exhibited Boo last year in the Raleigh exhibition; since then I decided to add a background habitat, so he’s now perched on a Scots Pine, the most common conifer in Eurasia, where this species would be found in the wild.
The exhibit runs Feb 15 – June 04.
