Creating an Interactive Patient Resource: A Thesis Project

Jessica created an interactive iBook with 3D animation for Whipple Operation patients, with the use of ZBrush, Maya, After Effects and iBooks Author. She will discuss her project and show us the result.
Jessica Hsiung is a recent graduate of the MSc Medical Art program, University of Dundee. She is currently freelancing as a medical and scientific illustrator.

With an overview of the user interface and basic file setup, Kaleigh will take us through her process on two illustrations and show us how to incorporate traditional media into a digital illustration.
Kaleigh Bulford is a freelance illustrator who has been working digitally since childhood. She has an eclectic mix of passions ranging from nature and wildlife, to zombies, unicorns and popular culture.
A passion, a grant, and a life-size illustration of goldenrod

A successful grant application led to a self-directed project involving extensive research and the creation of a very large illustration. In this image-filled presentation, Emily will discuss the research, planning, execution, and purpose of her watercolour painting.
Emily S. Damstra has been a freelance illustrator for 16 years, exploring diverse subjects and participating in unique projects along the way. She has an MFA degree in Science Illustration from the University of Michigan.
